For folks who would want to add some road names in Klang Valley, we have an interesting maproulette challenge for you! These are for mappers who are a little experienced. Here’s where you can get started: https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/23131

Ahh… let’s get the street names from Streetview/obvious-source-not-to-named thing. Got it! /s

What goodies, the blackvue dashcam?

I don’t see any sources mentioned in this challenge where participants could find the street names to add. So I’m afraid it looks like a call to copy names of other maps, which would be against the law AND against the rules of OpenStreetMap. Any data created this way would have to be erased from the OSM database, creating extra workload for the volunteers of the DWG. So PLEASE clarify where participants can find the names that they are supposed to add, or withdraw the challenge.

@lyx: maybe you should take a look at the maproulette instructions:

Add road names in Klang Valley, from the locations provided. Each location contains a KartaView link, in one of the tags, that could represent a road name. Please verify the image, as well as other images in the location’s area and provide one of the tags: name, alt_name or other tags mentioned in the wiki page…

(emphasis mine)

Example KartaView link would be: https://kartaview.org/details/3859749/611/track-info

@mmd: I did actually look at the maproulette instructions before posting. Unfortunately I was not aware that KartaView is a rename of the former OpenStreetCam, I wrongly assumed it was a commercial map viewing service. @jinalfoflia: sorry for my mistake, I apologize for making a misleading comment.
