The OSM community usually uses diary entries to document aspects of their mapping efforts. Your suggestions for improving the map are more likely to be noticed and acted upon if you were to put them up as OSM notes. There’s a button for this on the main osm.org page itself - https://www.openstreetmap.org/
Also, note that OSM is a volunteer effort - there have to be mappers (who are volunteers like you and me! 🙂) to make the required changes. For best results, I’d recommend you try to edit the map yourself. The wiki will help you out - https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/
