Lima Metro update

Posted by Diego Sanguinetti on 24 December 2017 in English.

Greetings to all. I wish you a Merry Christmas and New Year for those who are participating in Openstreetmap.

This week I had to correct some points in the Metro de Lima (Linea 1), after what I found from maps.me. These improvements are related to the station, the stops and the sections of the Metro.

The details you can find in the history of:

Location: Atusparia, San Juan de Lurigancho, Province of Lima, Lima Metropolitan Area, Lima, 15423, Peru

Hi Diego, thanks for improving the subway! The validator has been updated this morning, and it shows a few errors. Mostly they result from renaming railway=station to railway=stop. Metro stations are usually mapped with staiton or halt. For stop positions, you need to add public_transport=stop_position with subway=yes, and join the node with a station object using a stop_area relation. Please see this page for a complete schema. Disregard the “Rejected” plate, it does not make anything untrue.

Thanks for the clarification. I re-positioned the areas as “station” and the nodes as “stop”. I will remove this nodes “subway=station” and replace “public_transport=stop_position” with “subway=yes”. I hope that the other users of the group can collaborate.
