Hello Grannymeg,

Andy from OpenStreetMap’s Data Working Group here. I happened to notice (after not getting an acknowledgement to a comment at https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/150343317 ) that quite a few people have commented on your changesets.

These comments will have been emailed to you and you can also see them at https://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussion-comments?uid=13361440 . I’m guessing what has happened is that your email has broken somehow and you’re not getting these messages, or maybe they are going in to spam.

What I’d suggest is that you click through from https://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussion-comments?uid=13361440 to the actual changeset, for example https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/150548354 in the case of the top one, type your comment in the box and then click comment.

If you don’t understand why someone is saying something or what they are trying to say then say that in your comment - ask them to explain more.

One more thing - an example of one of your changeset comments is “#hotosm-project-16144 #cydnerthedd #resilience #GreenWales”. That doesn’t actually explain what you are doing - do you live in the area and are just mapping things that you are familiar with locally, or are you mapping things using aerial imagery or out-of-copyright maps based on a particular theme, or something else? It’d be great to have a sentence or so that explains that (in Welsh or English) as well as the meaningless hashtags. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Good_changeset_comments explains a bit more.

I’ve sent this as a message that you have to read before continuing to edit, simply because other contact methods would be unlikely to reach you. It doesn’t mean that you’ve done anything wrong; I’m just getting in touch by the only way that is guaranteed to work.

If you’ve got any other questions please don’t hestitate to ask - you can email data@openstreetmap.org with a subject line of “[Ticket#2024042810000145] Grannymeg”.

Best Regards,

Andy
