164900499 | 3 days ago | Yes that was a mistake. I have fixed it. |
161537521 | 4 days ago | I believe I meant to put shop=trophy. In either case, the shop is a duplicate of a nearby one. I removed it just now. |
153692501 | 10 days ago | Eh... they could still be permissive. Permissive is when something is privately owned, access is granted by default, but the owner has every right to deny access at will. |
163340116 | 10 days ago | The census data being referenced actually gives the population of the whole municipality, not the village being represented by the place=* node. The census-designated place of Deerfield, MA, which encompasses the immediate environs of the community, has a population of just 479. This fact, along with the lack of shops and amenities in the community urges me to classify Deerfield as a village. |
164961797 | 15 days ago | While that may be true, it is much easier for a data consumer to visually display (i.e. on a map) the extent of a residential area using landuse polygons than buildings. |
163216854 | 22 days ago | Hello, I have reverted this change. The roads you deleted appear to be valid on the aerial imagery. If a road is not accessible to the public (physically or legally), then the proper access tags should be added, instead of deleting the ways. |
154986348 | 23 days ago | It was most likely pulled from the West Virginia Statewide Addressing & Mapping (SAMS) application. URL: https://wvsams.mapwv.org/samsii/ |
164127186 | about 1 month ago | Hi, thanks for the tip about the imagery! I started mapping landuse there just because it's NYC, and one would expect there to be good landuse data in the biggest city in the country. I haven't been touching the sidewalks, so I have those filtered out whenever I'm editing. I will try to use the state imagery instead of Bing since it's leaf-off and seems to have better alignment. Happy mapping, Steve |
161224250 | about 2 months ago | Please assume good faith, it was just a mistake.

162718573 | 2 months ago | Thanks! None of it would be possible without your mapillary imagery! |
157832552 | 3 months ago | Hi, current community census suggests that "it is not a good idea to try to establish a 1:1 correspondence between OSM classifications and the state functional classifications. This will result in over-classification, with a high number of primary and secondary roads..." Please note that secondary highways should be for somewhat large streets (but not as big as primary) or roads that connect to other small towns. |
160439197 | 3 months ago | Per the wiki, I wanted to point out that landuse=farmyard should only cover farm buildings, not surrounding animal enclosures/farmland/meadow. For example, way 1344352303 (added in this changeset) should not cover the grass areas that do not have buildings on them. |
160884623 | 3 months ago | Oops, I didn't realize Vespucci didn't automatically do that. I will be more careful in the future. |
161319453 | 3 months ago | MEX 1 forma un parte de los Ejes de Transporte. DeberÃa ser troncal.

128194726 | 3 months ago | In the US, the place tag does not correlate one-to-one with legal status for many reasons. Therefore, some unincorporated communities such as Indian Land are tagged "village" or "town" based on their population and local significance. |
142918408 | 4 months ago | Hi, what are the sources for these changes? All edits need to be verifiable |
160752411 | 4 months ago | In the US, we do not tag places based on their legal classification. Rather, we consider the place's importance within the local and regional area. (If we did tag based on legal classification, nearly every place in Kansas would be a place=city, which is incorrect.) |

161000522 | 4 months ago | Hi Truegodz15909, please do not add fictitious features to the map. I do not believe there is a such area known as "uyjuyjuyjy" or "cyracuse" within New York City. |
