Sorry I didn't see this earlier, this a short connection mainly of use to people that don't want to / can't use the T-lift up to Campatsch. IIRC it goes slightly up hill and is sign posted on the Salaniva side. If you want to call it a piste or not is a matter of taste. While I was in Ftan this year it was closed off and again IIRC that has been the case most of the time in the past. I would suggest leaving this open and I'll check next February.

The 1st two images are from the Salaniva site, the last one the end of the way on the Champatsch side.
Essentially it confirms what I originally pointed out, now how that is best modeled is a good question.
