I'm hesitant to change this without an official source. Does anyone know of one?
That is Jones Creek. The Fort Bend Drainage District Map shows this as Jones Creek. https://gisweb.fortbendcountytx.gov/portal/apps/Viewer/index.html?appid=b7ae89fee5f741039cdf8cd5ee0ec83d
Updated in changeset 132907980
The stream crossed by the FM 723 bridge is indeed a segment of Jones Creek, but most of what has been changed in changeset 132907980 should have kept the Oyster Creek name, according to the map linked above.
This segment of Jones Creek was engineered to deliver a reverse flow of water from the Brazos River to the headwaters [1] of the Oyster Creek. The older, unengineered segment of Jones Creek originates just a bit south of this point.
